Bookstore News

Exlusive to E.J.’s Bookstore–but not for much longer!

The Thomas Flair, Clickbait, A Very Quest Solstice and Possession in Session audio have already been moved to the Audible All You Can Listen program. These little sidecar stories (aka Mythmatchedlets) will stay here for a leeetle bit longer (probably until the end of May), but I’ll be combining them into a single audio volume (called–wait for it–Mythmatchedlets) soon, at which point I’ll be removing them from the store and porting them over to Audible AYCL. So if you’re not an Audible Premium subscriber, this is your last chance to grab them for less than the price of a credit.

Second First Date audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux

Rusty has a plan to win Cas again…

Rusty's Really Bad Day audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux

Something is terribly wrong… and it’s up to Rusty to make it right.

Getting the Band Together audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux and Lessa Lamb

Hunter’s Moon might be one of today’s hottest groups, but their success didn’t happen overnight.

Understatement.

Here’s how Gareth met Josh, Spence, Tiff, and Hamish–and how they came together as a band. (With a little help from an oracle…)

Purgatory Postscript audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux

Do misbehaving gods deserve another chance?

I engineered a collision between my Mythmatched world and Purgatory Playhouse—the book written as part of the multi-author Magic Emporium series—with At Odds with the Gods. But when given the opportunity to participate in a short story Valentine’s Day event, I decided these two worlds deserved another mashup!

Besides, why exactly was Hermes behaving so badly prior to the last Playhouse production? The answer was obvious—clearly he was suffering from unrequited love, right? If he behaves himself this time, he might get another chance…

First Flight audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux

Will Seb overcome his fear of heights to take to the air with Nevan and Lulu?

First Flight is what I call a “sidecar” or companion story. It’s not intended to stand alone. Instead, it assumes the reader’s familiarity with other books. In this case, it’s an extra peek inside some off-page antics for Nevan and Seb between Chapter 33 and the Epilogue of Assassin by Accident.

So if you haven’t already read Assassin by Accident, you’ll probably want to put this story aside until you do. Otherwise, you know, spoilers!

And since I’m moving the audio…

…I’ll also have to make the ebooks available at Amazon (because an associated Amazon ebook is required to upload audiobooks to Audible). However…

I’m not putting them into Kindle Unlimited, so I can still deliver them for free to my newsletter subscribers. If you’re already a subscriber, thank you! You’ll find a download link for these at the bottom of each newsletter.

Of course, not everybody likes to sign up for newsletters (which, you know, fair). So folks can either buy them here or at the ’Zon.

Possession in Session audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux

When an outcast demon is thrust into a medical technician training program, are death and destruction sure to follow?

After centuries of being bound to one greedy magician after another, Auni-jel-Chandu broke free and retreated to Sheol, outcast even among other demons. But then the Realm Accords passed, and suddenly he’s thrust into the Sheol Retraining Initiative as the newest supernatural medical technician student at United Memorial Hospital (aka St. Stupid’s).

Uh oh.

Wash Hernández might be a dud witch—he’d never been able to attract a familiar, so he’s as magic-null as any human—but as a St. Stupid’s orderly, he’s still able to assist supernatural beings who need medical care. But when he meets a bewildered nakeddemon wandering the hospital corridors and forms an instant connection, he’s not certain who needs help the most.

Q

A Very Quest Solstice audiobook

Narrated by Greg Boudreaux

It’s our first holiday together, and I’m determined to make it special for Lachlan. Only problem? I know zip about how selkies celebrate, so I don’t even know which winter holiday to pick.

With Lachlan out on a fishing charter, I try to tease some suggestions from my friends, but they’re surprisingly unhelpful. And when we get a tip about a Disappeared sighting, my opportunity for more research evaporates.

I guess I’ll just have to improvise. Again.

Dammit.

A Very Quest Solstice is a 12K-word holiday coda which builds on characters and situations from the first four Quest Investigations books. It takes place the month following Death on Denial and is not intended to stand alone.

For any of E.J.’s independently published ebooks that are available wide (e.g., not exclusively with Kindle Unlimited), you can now purchase them directly from her here!

What does this mean? Well, for one thing, control: E.J. can decide on special deals and discounts that aren’t dependent on any retailer’s rules. For another: A greater percentage of your purchase price will go straight to E.J. without a retailer taking a cut first (and faster, too).

How will it work? The Buy links on each of these books will take you to their page on E.J.’s Shopify store. Once you complete your purchase, you’ll receive an email from BookFunnel with a personalized link to download the ebook for your e-reader of choice.

The selection here will change over time (and include some of E.J.’s audiobooks), so be sure to check back now and then!

Thank you for supporting independent authors!
